Our Story
A vision, that was born from a dream to create a space where art, music, food, and nature converge under the open sky, with the ocean as witness. At its heart, Burning Crab is about connection: connecting people to each other, to culture, to the land, and to the deeper sense of belonging that we often forget in our busy lives. It is a promise to ourselves and to future generations that celebration can be sustainable, soulful, and deeply rooted in place.
Why Cox’s Bazar?
Cox’s Bazar, a place where rolling green hills blend with 120 kilometers of endless coastline, every grain of sand holds stories of fishermen calling out to the waves at dawn. This is home to the communities like Chakma, Marma, and Rakhine, whose songs, crafts, and wisdom have been woven into these hills for generations. Their vibrant cultures bloom alongside the natural beauty, creating something rare and beautiful. When we bring Burning Crab to these shores, we're inviting the world to see what we've always known: Bangladesh is not just about struggle but about resilience, creativity, and beauty. We're a land of creators, dreamers, and communities who find magic in every sunset- this festival is our love letter to that truth.
